Our client, a well-established organisation supporting people experiencing homelessness and social exclusion, is looking to recruit a dedicated Complex Needs Homeless Support Worker to join their passionate team.

The Role
As a Complex Needs Homeless Support Worker, you will work directly with individuals who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness and who may face challenges including mental ill-health, substance misuse, offending behaviour, physical health issues, and trauma.
Using a person-centred and trauma-informed approach, you will provide practical and emotional support while helping clients access the services they need to move towards stable accommodation and independent living.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of clients with complex and multiple support needs.
* Complete comprehensive needs, support, and risk assessments.
* Develop, implement, and regularly review person-centred support plans.
* Support clients to access accommodation, healthcare, benefits, mental health services, substance misuse treatment, education, and employment opportunities.
* Build positive, professional relationships that encourage engagement and promote independence.
* Work collaboratively with housing providers, local authorities, NHS services, probation, and voluntary organisations.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports.
* Respond appropriately to crisis situations, safeguarding concerns, and challenging behaviour.
* Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times.
About You
Our client is looking for candidates who have:
Essential
* Previous experience supporting people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, or those with complex needs.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, safeguarding, and person-centred support planning.
* Understanding of issues including mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse, offending behaviour, and social exclusion.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong organisational and case management abilities.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* A compassionate, resilient, and non-judgemental approach.
Desirable
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, Housing, or a related discipline.
* Experience working within supported housing, hostels, outreach, Housing First, or similar services.
* Knowledge of PIE (Psychologically Informed Environments) and harm reduction approaches.
* Full UK driving licence.
