We are currently recruiting experienced Complex Needs Support Workers to support an individual with complex needs in Cradley Heath.
This is a specialist role supporting a non-verbal autistic individual who displays behaviours that can be highly challenging. We are looking for confident, experienced professionals who can think quickly, remain calm under pressure, and respond appropriately in unpredictable situations while providing safe, person-centred support.
Both day and night shifts are available.
Shift Patterns
* 8:00am – 10:00pm
* 8:00am – 3:00pm
* 3:00pm – 10:00pm
* 10:00pm – 8:00am
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support.
* Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
* Administer medication safely and accurately.
* Complete daily care notes and documentation to a high standard.
* Prepare meals and support with cooking.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised home environment.
* Use de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support strategies.
* Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents or changes in behaviour, always prioritising safety.
* Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent, effective support.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs.
* Experience working with autism and behaviours that challenge.
* Current MAPA training is essential.
* Excellent resilience and emotional stability.
* The ability to think fast, assess situations quickly, and make sound decisions under pressure.
* A calm, confident, and professional approach.
* Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
* Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering outstanding care.

This is a rewarding role, but it is not without its challenges. We are looking for someone who understands the demands of supporting individuals with complex needs and can remain patient, professional, and proactive, even during difficult situations.
You will be resilient, adaptable, and confident in using de-escalation techniques. You'll be able to think on your feet, respond to changing circumstances quickly, and work as part of a dedicated team to provide consistent, high-quality support.
