The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance & Building Safety Coordinator to join the Property Services team.
This role is central to supporting the delivery of statutory compliance and building safety activities across a residential housing portfolio. You will ensure compliance records are accurate and up to date, coordinate contractor and resident appointments, support governance activities and help maintain the systems and processes required to meet regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to Compliance and Building Safety teams Maintain accurate compliance records, certificates, inspection reports and contractor documentation Coordinate inspections, contractor visits and resident appointmentsMaintain and update compliance databases covering:
Gas Safety Electrical Safety Fire Safety Asbestos Water Hygiene Lift Servicing Building Safety ActionsAdditional: Monitor certification and completion paperwork, following up on outstanding documentation Liaise with residents regarding access appointments, inspections and safety-related works Support the preparation of compliance reports, board papers, dashboards and meeting packs Take minutes and monitor action trackers Assist with resident engagement activities, safety forums and consultation events Raise purchase orders, process invoices and support wider Property Services administration. About You
To be successful, you'll have:
Experience within an administrative, business support or coordinator role Experience maintaining databases, spreadsheets and document management systems Experience coordinating appointments, meetings, inspections or contractor activities Strong customer service skills with experience dealing with residents, customers, contractors or stakeholders Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and database systems The ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly Desirable Experience within social housing, property services, repairs, compliance or building safety Knowledge of compliance areas including gas, fire, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene or lift safety Awareness of the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act and Health & Safety legislation Experience supporting audits, governance processes or regulatory reporting.
