Job Title: Compliance and Risk Specialist

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Benefits: 22 days holiday, private healthcare, 5% pension, Subsidized restaurant, gym, deli

Location: Potters Bar

Hours: Mon-Fri 9.00am - 5.30pm

***MUST HAVE - Experience in employment law, Umbrella, CIS , CEST, Construction***

Purpose of role

From tax status, employment law and right to work you’ll become the in-house expert on all matters relating to operative engagement risk. Sitting within our Compliance team, you’ll play a pivotal role in auditing, driving standards, process improvement and advising

Responsibilities:

o Evaluate and improve operational processes to increase efficiency, accuracy and automation

o Uphold and enhance compliance processes to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory alignment

o Learning and continuously expanding knowledge of HMRC & CIS legislation

o Frequent internal audits (not limited to)

• Settled Status
• VAT & UTR checks due diligence - Clients & Sub Contractors
• Limited Company DD Checks
• Contract renewals for workers and clients

o Ensuring all new clients (and historical clients) have the correct documents on file and are set up on the system correctly.

o Monitor the Limited Company process for the company

o Monitor the Overpayments process for the company

• Auditing

o To audit the work of the compliance officers, constructing an evaluation system which allows the individuals to be assessed against the high standards set by the Risk and Due Diligence Specialist.
