Our client is a dynamic organisation specialising in financial services within the luxury motor finance sector.
Due to business expansion, we are seeking a Compliance Associate to support the Compliance function across a diverse range of operational, regulatory, complaints, and compliance matters.
This predominantly execution-focused role involves preparing documentation, assisting with complaint and claim handling processes, liaising with internal stakeholders and external advisors, and contributing to the continuous development of internal legal and compliance frameworks. The position operates under the guidance of the Legal & Compliance lead and does not require independent decision-making on complex legal or regulatory issues. The role presents opportunities for professional development and increased responsibility over time.
Role and Responsibilities:
You will assist the team with various compliance-related tasks, particularly in the following areas:
Contract Support Complaints & Claims Support Regulatory & Compliance Support General / Operational Tasks
Qualifications, Languages and Education Requirements
A (UK) law degree or equivalent qualification (bar admission is advantageous but not essential) 1–3 years’ experience in a legal, regulatory, or compliance role, preferably within financial services or a consumer-facing industry Experience in motor finance or the automotive sector is beneficial, though not mandatory Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential; German language skills are an advantage Proficiency in MS Office and general document management tools Basic knowledge or initial exposure to:
- Complaints and claims handling procedures - FCA Handbook, particularly DISP - UK consumer protection legislation - Data protection (UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018) Preferred Skills
Experience drafting and reviewing documents or supporting contract management processes Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and, where relevant, external legal advisers Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach to work Capability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Analytical mindset with an interest in financial and commercial matters Proactive, dependable team player with a strong desire to learn and develop Excellent communication skills, able to clearly summarise and present information to non-legal stakeholders Ability to perform well under pressure and meet regulatory and operational deadlines Applicants must have full right to work in the UK Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
