About the role Guidant Global is recruiting on behalf of Airbus Helicopters UK for two Compliance Investigators to join the Compliance team at their Oxford site - home to Britain's civil helicopter hub and the world's largest helicopter manufacturer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining regulatory and operational compliance within a Helicopter Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO). You'll investigate compliance-related issues, get to the root of what's really going on, and help drive the corrective and preventive actions that keep operations safe, standard-compliant, and continuously improving.
What you'll be doing Compliance investigations & root cause analysis
Conduct thorough investigations into compliance-related incidents, discrepancies, and safety concerns, including MEDA investigations where required Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies - such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Fault Tree Analysis - to get to the underlying issue Identify Human Factors and Human Performance issues Spot trends and systemic issues, ensuring corrective actions are sustainableRegulatory & quality assurance
Ensure adherence to UK CAA/EASA Part 145, UK CAA/EASA Part CAMO, UK CAA/EASA Part 21G, MAA MRP145/MIL CAMO, and company-specific MRO standards Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to develop and maintain effective audit and inspection processes Support regulatory audits and coordinate responses to findings, ensuring non-conformances are resolved promptlyProcess improvement & risk mitigation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve maintenance procedures and operational efficiency Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies based on investigation findings Promote best practice in safety, human factors, and compliance monitoringStakeholder engagement & reporting
Provide detailed investigation reports and recommendations to senior management and regulatory bodies Engage with maintenance, engineering, production, and safety teams to build compliance awareness Maintain investigation records and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)What we're looking for Essential
Proven experience in compliance investigations within an aviation maintenance organisation or aerospace environment Strong expertise in Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving methodologies In-depth knowledge of EASA Part 145, UK CAA regulations, and industry safety standards Knowledge of Human Factors principles, including Human Performance and limitations Ability to analyse technical documentation, maintenance records, and regulatory requirements Experience conducting audits and inspections within a maintenance organisation Excellent report writing, analytical, and presentation skills Proficiency with compliance monitoring tools, quality management systems (QMS), and data analysis software Formal training in RCA and investigative techniques Eligible for DBS Security ClearanceDesirable
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Experience in MEDA investigations Knowledge of UK CAA/EASA Part CAMO, Part 21G, MAA regulations, MRP145, and MIL CAMO Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 aviation standards Certification in Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) Certification as an Aviation Auditor or Lead Auditor Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging stakeholders from technicians to senior leadershipThe details
