A high-achieving secondary school in Lambeth seeks a qualified and enthusiastic Computer Science Technician to join its dynamic department. Responsibilities

• 
  Technical Support:
  
  
  • Maintain and troubleshoot a range of computer hardware and software in the school's IT network and computer labs.
  
  
  • Ensure efficient and effective operation of all IT equipment used for Computer Science lessons.
  
  
  • Install and configure new hardware and software as required.
  
  
  • Provide technical support to teachers in the use of technology for teaching and learning.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Learning Environment:
  
  
  • Prepare and set up computer labs for lessons according to teachers' instructions.
  
  
  • Ensure a safe and secure learning environment in the computer labs.
  
  
  • Assist teachers in the integration of technology into their lessons.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Resources and Inventory:
  
  
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT equipment used in the Computer Science department.
  
  
  • Order and manage IT supplies as needed.
  
  
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the Computer Science department's resources.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Other Duties:
  
  
  • May be required to assist with other IT-related tasks within the school.
  
  
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with technological advancements.
