Are you passionate about creating great food and bringing new ideas to life? This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves innovation, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and wants to play a key part in developing products for major UK retailers.

As a Concept Development Technologist, you'll support the full journey of new food products from early ideas through to launch. You'll work closely with Product Managers, NPD teams and cross‑functional colleagues to ensure concepts are commercially viable, consumer‑focused and aligned with manufacturing capabilities.

What you'll be doing

Driving NPD projects supporting multiple product developments through internal processes and key milestones.
Managing product data ensuring accurate information is captured, updated and shared across systems and documents.
Preparing submissions and presentations contributing to customer‑facing materials with clarity and professionalism.
Supporting tastings and benchmarking organising sessions, capturing insights and building category knowledge.
Collaborating cross‑functionally working with teams across the business to ensure smooth handover from concept to launch.
Identifying improvement opportunities helping refresh existing ranges through analysis, optimisation and trend awareness.
Translating trends into products spotting emerging food, lifestyle and consumer trends and shaping them into viable concepts.
Championing a customer‑first mindset challenging ingredients, processes and packaging to deliver innovation that resonates.
Supporting commercial targets ensuring launches meet agreed financial expectations.

What you'll bring

Confident knowledge of ingredients, recipe formulation and sensory evaluation.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience in a similar role within food manufacturing.
Proven involvement in taking products from concept to launch is an advantage.
