Work with an established specialist contractor My client is an established contractor delivering concrete repairs, structural refurbishment and maintenance projects across the UK infrastructure sector. Due to a strong pipeline of work, they are looking for a Concrete Repair Operative to join their site team in Keswick. You will be working alongside experienced supervisors and operatives carrying out specialist repair and refurbishment works on infrastructure assets. What you will be doing As a Concrete Repair Operative, you will be carrying out a variety of specialist concrete repair and refurbishment activities while ensuring work is completed safely and to the required specification. You will be: ·Carrying out concrete breakout and preparation works. ·Completing hand-applied and spray-applied concrete repairs where required. ·Preparing concrete surfaces using appropriate mechanical and hand tools. ·Installing repair mortars and specialist concrete repair materials. ·Carrying out crack repairs and resin injection where required. ·Applying protective coatings and waterproofing systems. ·Assisting with structural refurbishment and maintenance works. ·Using hand tools, power tools and specialist construction equipment safely. ·Following risk assessments, method statements and site procedures. ·Working closely with supervisors and other members of the site team. ·Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping. ·Completing works in accordance with drawings and specifications. ·Reporting defects, hazards or technical issues to the site supervisor. ·Supporting the successful completion and handover of repair works. What you will need To be considered for this Concrete Repair Operative position, you will ideally have: ·Previous experience carrying out concrete repairs or structural refurbishment. ·Experience working within civil engineering, highways, structures, water or infrastructure environments. ·Knowledge of concrete breakout, preparation and repair techniques. ·Experience using repair mortars, resins or protective coatings. ·A valid CSCS card. ·A good understanding of site health and safety requirements. ·The ability to follow drawings, specifications, risk assessments and method statements. ·The ability to work effectively as part of a site team. Experience with resin injection, waterproofing, sprayed concrete, structural strengthening, confined spaces or water infrastructure would be beneficial.
