Connectivity Platform Architect - CPE

We are looking for an experienced Connectivity CPE Architect to lead the technical work stream for a next-generation Wi-Fi gateway and home connectivity programme.

Kings Road, UK | Hybrid - 2 days/week 📅 Contract until June 2027 💷 Up to £830/day via Umbrella ⏱ 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

Define CPE architecture, technical specifications and requirements.
Lead technical RFI/RFP and supplier evaluation activities.
Assess CPE OEM and silicon vendor proposals.
Lead supplier workshops and technical PoCs.
Develop technical scoring, compliance matrices and recommendations.
Work closely with Product, Procurement, Engineering and Technology leadership.

Essential Experience

Strong recent consumer/residential CPE experience.
Broadband gateways, home routers, mesh/Wi-Fi devices.
Strong Wi-Fi 6/7 knowledge; Wi-Fi 8 desirable.
Experience with CPE OEMs / silicon vendors.
RFI/RFP and supplier selection experience.
Knowledge of RDK-B, OpenWRT, DOCSIS, XGS-PON or similar technologies.Important: Generic Network, Cloud or Infrastructure Architects without recent consumer CPE experience will not be suitable.
