Construction Design Manager

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Design Manager to join an established regional contractor in Hertfordshire! They operate in various sectors including Education, Commercial, Mixed-Use, and Science. This contractor is small enough to be friendly and personable, yet large enough to offer structure and progression.
Their modern and refurbished offices are located within an hour of their sites, and they boast a strong client base with lots of repeat business. With a committed team and a strong skill set, this contractor has an extremely low staff turnover.
The role offers a salary of up to £70,000 with benefits including a car allowance of £6,000, fuel card, 25 days annual holiday allowance (with additional days awarded after 5, 7 & 10 years service), pension, private medical cover, and continued professional development opportunities.
As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for technical compliance and design management at early feasibility and procurement stages, as well as monitoring on-site Design Coordination and managing external consultants.
You will lead the design process on D&B projects and report directly to the Head of Design.
