My client is a family owned organisation based in the Gloucestershire area. They are multi-site specialists and look after the needs of many projects including Construction, Civil Engineering, Landscaping, Building Maintenance, Water, Local Authority and Education. On top of an enviable track record, the business is experiencing exceptional growth and as such are looking to recruit a Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance Project Manager to join them on their journey.
The role:
The Construction Manager will oversee construction projects from planning through to completion. Projects will range in value from £200k-£2m. They will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects from start to finish.
Develop project schedules and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
Manage project budgets, costs, and resource allocation.
Coordinate and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure all work complies with building codes, regulations, and company standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and project performance.
Identify and resolve construction issues, delays, and risks.
Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Lead site meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
Manage procurement of materials and equipment as required.
Key Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Project planning and scheduling
Budget and cost control
Contract administration
Risk management
Team leadership and supervision
Quality assurance and quality control
Health and safety management
Time management and decision-making
Primarily based on construction sites with some office work.
Qualifications
NVQ level 4 or above in Contract Management
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar leadership role.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations, and safety standards.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
