Construction Manager

We are looking for a collaborative and influential leader to support a major EPCm framework programme based in Ayrshire. This role offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary construction activities within a live manufacturing facility, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

You'll be responsible for providing visible leadership across site operations, managing subcontractor partners, developing team capability, and fostering a culture built on safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This opportunity is ideal for a Construction Manager who enjoys leading from the front, building high-performing teams, and working closely with subcontract partners to deliver safe, compliant, and successful EPCm projects while supporting the development of those around them.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and coordinating all on-site construction activities to ensure safe and successful project delivery.
• Managing and developing construction teams, creating an environment where people can perform, grow, and succeed.
• Overseeing subcontractor performance, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.
• Building strong relationships with engineering, operations, project management, client stakeholders, and subcontract partners.
• Driving a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with GMP, CDM, quality, and site standards.
• Providing clear leadership, direction, coaching, and support to site personnel and contractor teams.
• Monitoring progress, managing interfaces, and ensuring effective communication across all project stakeholders.

Expected:

• Proven Construction Management experience within Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, FMCG, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Chemical, or other regulated industrial environments
• Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements and experience working within regulated facilities
• Demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams and subcontractors on operational sites
• A people-focused leadership style with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing others
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of CDM 2015, Safe Systems of Work, contractor management, and setting-to-work processes
• Experience working with BS 5975 Temporary Works requirements
