Job Description - Construction Project Manager (Electrical)
Role: Construction Project Manager Location: Oxford Rate: £400 - £450pd Project: New Technology Institute Development Start Date: September 21/09/26
M&E specialist seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Non-Working Supervisor on a prestigious new Technology Institute project in Oxford. Undertaking major electrical infrastructure works involving the installation and termination of SWA sub-main cables, ranging from 4 Core 25mm² up to 4 Core 240mm² SWA.
Key Responsibilities • Supervise day-to-day site activities and electrical installation teams. • Oversee pulling and installation of SWA sub-main cables (4 Core 25mm² - 240mm²). • Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and project scheduling. • Ensure all works are completed to specification, programme, and quality standards. • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance. • Conduct toolbox talks, RAMS reviews, and site inspections. • Liaise with clients, principal contractors, and project management teams. • Produce progress reports, manage site documentation, and maintain project records.
Must Have: • Strong background in commercial / industrial electrical installations. • Experience managing SWA cable installation and sub-main infrastructure works. • SMSTS (Preferred) • ECS / CSCS • Ability to manage works within a live construction environment. • Flexibility to work Overtime where required including nights.
Package • Project duration: Approximately 5 months. • Start date: 21/09/26 • Accommodation and sustenance fully paid for by the company. • Competitive rate (dependent on experience).
