This is an exciting position for a contentious construction specialist seeking to work alongside experienced partners on high-profile disputes, with the flexibility to get involved in non-contentious work when desired.

You will play an integral role in a nationally recognised construction and engineering team, advising on a broad range of contentious matters and some non-contentious projects. • Advising on contentious construction and engineering matters, including dispute resolution, adjudications, and litigation.

• Supporting clients on non-contentious construction projects as required.

• Providing commercial, clear, and timely legal advice.

• Building strong client relationships and participating in business development initiatives.

• Contributing to team collaboration and knowledge sharing across the wider national construction practice.

The construction and engineering team is recognised nationally for its work across major infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects. Clients include:

• National and international contractors

• Developers and housebuilders

• Subcontractors and professional consultants

• Local authorities, universities, football clubs, and automotive sector clients

The team handles everything from UK-based schemes to international construction projects, with expertise in contentious disputes, process engineering, and renewables. The partners and senior team members are highly regarded by the Legal 500 UK for their deep and broad construction law knowledge.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with:

• At least 4 years' PQE in construction law, primarily in contentious/disputes.

• A solid understanding of construction contracts and dispute resolution processes.

• A keen interest in developing their legal career within a reputable, national team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to confidently liaise with clients and team members.

• Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

• A team player attitude with a "can-do" mindset and motivation to excel.
