Job Title: Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor
Location: Cambridge or Colchester (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £65,000 - £90,000 Bonus + Benefits

The Role – Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor

You’ll join the firm’s growing non-contentious construction team, working on JCT contracts and associated development documentation for high-profile clients. The work spans from bespoke agreements to large-scale developments valued at £200 million+.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting and negotiating JCT building contracts, warranties and appointments
• Advising developers, funders and contractors on construction and development matters
• Managing a varied portfolio of commercial real estate and finance-linked projects
• Participating in business development and client relationship-building
• Mentoring junior team members and contributing to internal training initiatives
• Playing a part in the firm’s continued strategic growth

? About You:

You should be a qualified solicitor with a passion for non-contentious construction law and a desire to grow within a collaborative, forward-thinking team.

You will ideally have:

• 2+ years PQE in non-contentious construction law (private practice or in-house)
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts; NEC or FIDIC experience also beneficial
• Exposure to large-scale development or real estate finance deals
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in a client-facing role
• A commercial mindset and enthusiasm for business development
• A team-oriented attitude and genuine desire to progress
