Job Opportunity: Construction Senior Associate /Partner (8+ PQE)

Location: Glasgow (hybrid working options)

Overview:

A nationally recognised law firm is seeking a Senior Construction Lawyer to join its Glasgow office. You will advise on high-profile infrastructure and development projects across sectors including clean energy, transport, healthcare, education and regeneration. This senior role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex matters, mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the growth of the Glasgow office.

Role Requirements:

Experience:

• Qualified Scottish Solicitor with 8+ years’ PQE in construction or infrastructure law
• Advising on PFI/PPP contract management, including variations and refinancing
• Handling secondary market transactions in the PFI/PPP space
• Experience with infrastructure M&A, commercial contracts, and major project documentation
• Working on renewable energy and net zero projects (e.g., solar, wind, EV, energy from waste)
• Proven track record in managing complex transactions with multiple stakeholders

Skills:

• Commercially aware with a proactive, client-focused approach
• Ability to lead projects and guide junior team members
• Business development and contributing to the growth of the Glasgow office
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with attention to detail
