Hays Education is working in partnership with a leading further education provider to recruit a Construction Lecturer to join their Construction Trades department. The role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to support student success.
The Role
As a Electrical & Fire Security Lecturer, you will:
Deliver engaging and inspirational lessons across construction trade programmes. Plan, prepare and assess high-quality learning activities that meet curriculum and industry requirements. Support students to develop both technical and employability skills. Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback. Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and employers. Contribute to course development, quality improvement and curriculum enhancement activities.
What We're Looking For
To be successful, you will ideally have:
âś… Industry experience within construction trades
âś… NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area
âś… A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
âś… Excellent communication and classroom management skills
âś… A passion for helping learners achieve their potential
âś… Knowledge of safeguarding and learner support responsibilities
The following would be advantageous:
Assessor and/or verifier qualifications Previous teaching experience within a post-16 or further education setting Strong employer and industry links
