About Itad
We are a global consultancy united by a strong set of values and a common purpose: to help build a more equitable and sustainable world for all.
We do this by providing expert monitoring, evaluation, learning and strategy services that help organisations create positive lasting social, economic and environmental change.
For 40-years, we have collaborated with governments, foundations, businesses and global alliances to generate the evidence needed to understand the impact of their work and improve their performance.
In all our work we are committed to equity, inclusiveness and technical excellence to meet the highest professional and ethical standards.
The Team
By joining our Fragile and Conflict Affected Settings (FCAS) team, you will be working alongside a dynamic group of people who are driven by a commitment to improve the lives of people living in some of the harshest conditions in the world. The challenges of working in FCAS contexts means that we need to be innovative and creative, and
our FCAS team is recognised as a global leader in providing monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) advice and services to a diverse range of clients working in conflict and crisis contexts across the world.
Our expertise
encompasses a broad range of thematic areas including conflict prevention; peacebuilding; security and justice; stabilisation; serious and organised crime; women, peace and security; preventing violent extremism; migration; and humanitarian assistance. We work globally with a particular focus on East and West Africa, Middle East and North Africa (MENA), South Asia and the Indo-Pacific. See examples of our projects: Our projects | Itad
The Role
As a Consultant, you will contribute to the successful delivery and management of MEL projects across the portfolio through providing technical and project management inputs. You will also contribute to business development activities and bid writing; and, where possible, share learning through knowledge products and external conferences and events, being a part of maintaining our excellent reputation with our clients.
The core technical strengths of all our consultants are focused around four key areas:
The Candidate
We are looking for a candidate with experience in providing technical inputs into evaluation and/or MEL projects in FCAS contexts. You will have experience in at least one of the following: conflict prevention; peacebuilding; security and justice; stabilisation; serious and organised crime; women, peace and security; and preventing violent extremism, humanitarian assistance and migration. You will also have experience in project management as well as experience in business development and contributing to writing and winning proposals.
Experience of working in a consultancy environment or equivalent would be desirable, with experience across the full lifecycle from bidding to delivery and understand the commercial drivers that sit behind this both for the client and Itad.
As a
change agent, you will effectively analyse and interpret data to support evidence-based discussions and use strong client-facing
skills to support and inform key messages.
As a
project manager, you will develop effective workplans and clearly communicate expectations and timelines to project teams, ensuring that team members have what they need, when they need it to meet their project roles.
As a
trusted advisor,
you will liaise with clients on specific projects, supporting their use of monitoring, evaluation and learning deliverables. You will contribute to bidding processes, developing bespoke proposals that meet (potential) client requirements.
