Job Description - Consultant Solicitor - Commercial Law or Conveyancing

We’re looking for an experienced Consultant Solicitor with a strong client base, specialising in either commercial law or conveyancing.

You’ll handle your own cases, providing expert advice and managing client relationships, while helping grow your portfolio and the firm’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clear, practical legal advice to your own clients in your area of expertise — commercial contracts or property transactions
Manage cases from start to finish, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating relevant documents
Liaise with clients, other solicitors, lenders, and third parties to ensure smooth progression of matters
Conduct due diligence and property searches where applicable
Maintain and develop your client portfolio, identifying new business opportunities
Manage your caseload independently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Support junior team members when needed

Essential Skills and Experience:

Qualified solicitor with proven experience in commercial law or conveyancing
Own client base and ability to bring in new business
Strong knowledge of relevant legal procedures, contracts, and regulations
Excellent communication and client management skills
Ability to work independently and prioritise effectively
Strong attention to detail and organisation

Location: North Manchester
Type: Permanent
Salary: £60,000 - £100,000 DOE
