Summary
The Consultation and Engagement Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing consultation and engagement strategies within the organization. This position is crucial for ensuring that residents, stakeholders, tenants, leaseholders, and communities have substantial opportunities to impact decision-making, policy formulation, and service enhancements. The role involves offering expert guidance on best practices in consultation, adhering to statutory requirements, and employing effective engagement methodologies. The insights gathered from community interactions are vital for informing both strategic and operational decisions.
Responsibilities
Spearhead the planning, execution, and assessment of intricate consultation and engagement initiatives.
Develop inclusive strategies that foster participation from diverse and underrepresented communities.
Ensure that consultation efforts are accessible, impactful, and aligned with the organization's goals.
Oversee multiple consultation projects concurrently, ensuring they meet established timelines.
Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with community groups, residents, tenants, leaseholders, partners, and key stakeholders.
Offer expert advice and support to senior leaders, service managers, and elected officials on matters of consultation and engagement.
Organize and lead meetings, workshops, public events, and other engagement activities to collect stakeholder input.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in delivering consultation and engagement programs within local government, the public sector, or similarly complex environments.
Proven track record in managing high-profile, sensitive, and politically significant consultation projects.
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, elected officials, community groups, and residents.
Essential Qualifications Required
A degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience in Communications, Public Relations, Community Engagement, Public Policy, Social Research, or a related field.

This is a 3-month contract with a local authority.
The daily rate is £353.87 per day umbrella
Payments are processed bi-weekly.
