Contact Applicators Manager

Scope: Global

Location: Preference in Leeds. Alternatively, can be considered candidates in other key contact applicator sites (Raeford).

Terms & Conditions: Full time role. Local contract and conditions and based on a UL PC site.

JOB PURPOSE

You will lead technology and engineering for contact applicator deodorants, including the filling and packing and integration of pack material in lines.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Own the technology standards for contact applicator filling and packing (sticks, roll on, soft solids, emulsion, etc.).

Lead innovation on bringing new technologies to contact applicator network to drive performance of sites

Set standards for technology (how to operate and maintain) and ensure adherence to standard across contact applicator sites

Benchmark performance of contact applicator lines and set best practices and replicate globally.

Support Capital projects for contact applicator deos as technology lead:

• capacity with new lines or debottlenecking existing ones
• Innovation launches
• Savings projects deploying more efficiently equipment (labour, energy, maintenance reduction)

Integration of F&P lines with the packaging manufacturing (via moulds and assembly team)

Experiences & Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields

Experience in working in Deodorant with contact applicators (sticks or roll ons) factory in engineering or other technical fields.

Deep technical knowledge on contact applicator deodorant technology and equipment used. Canister/bottle handling, canister management (priming, etc.), top/bottom filling, ball insection & capping, EOL packaging solutions and testing equipment, etc.
Knowledge and experience in managing deployment of aerosol technology and equipment in projects.

Good understanding of key suppliers network in contact application technology.
5 to 7 years of related work experience leading contact applicator deodorant engineering activities.
 

Travel ( internationally) required, up to 25% of the time
