Job Description

The salary of up to £90,000.

Reporting to the CEO, Content Manager will play an important role in managing the publication of web content across blogs, newsletters and video for websites whose main route to market is organic positioning on Google.

You will oversee the performance of a team of content writers, copywriters and videographers, to ensure production volume and quality meet our Group’s digital marketing objectives.

Your core specialism will be in commissioning, editing and publishing content on CMS systems (preferably WordPress), but you will also have experience of modern SEO theories and practices, including a granular knowledge of their implementation.

Job Responsibilities

Define, implement and own the content strategy under the guidance of the CEO, across all of the company’s brands and websites
Overall responsibility for the ideation, commissioning, editing, publishing and proofreading of written and video content for blogs, newsletters, outreach, digital PR and YouTube
Set up, monitor and improve how we measure content performance on both a micro and macro level, establishing successful metrics for each of our brands.
Liaise with the SEO Director to facilitate the testing and implementing of changes to content, in line with new and ever-changing best practices.
Write occasional exceptional long-form and short-form articles for blogs, newsletters and outreach content, on a variety of topics, including finance, tax and company law, to keep the small business community well-informed.

Your profile:
Proven content

management/publication

experience for digital-first companies who rely on organic positioning on Google
Proven experience managing a team of 3+
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a content

management/publication

role.
Experience of writing long form and short form articles for publication on technical and non-technical topics.
Impeccable written English language skills.
Significant experience of publishing articles using WordPress (desirable).
