Contentious Probate Solicitor

Role Overview
We are delighted to be instructed by a highly regarded, full-service law firm based in the North West to recruit an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor to join their respected Dispute Resolution team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a solicitor to work within a busy and specialist department, managing a broad range of contentious probate matters. The role will involve advising clients on disputes concerning wills, probate, and Inheritance Act claims, and representing executors, beneficiaries, and trustees in both negotiations and formal court proceedings.

You will play a key role in providing expert legal advice, negotiating settlements, preparing complex legal documents, and advocating in court when required.

Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
We are keen to hear from solicitors with:

• Proven experience in contentious probate matters
• A solid background in dispute resolution and litigation processes, ideally within private client disputes
• Strong knowledge of wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration law
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise clients sensitively and clearly on complex issues
• Strong case management skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• A collaborative approach and confidence in working both independently and as part of a wider legal team

Additional qualities sought include strong negotiation, organisational, and client care skills, coupled with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
