Contingency underwriter

Position: Contingency Underwriter Location: London Schedule: 3 days per week in London, 2 days work from home Salary: Competitive Our client a Specialist London Insurer is currently seeking an experienced Contingency Underwriter to become an integral part of their dynamic team.

This role is based in London and offers a balanced work arrangement, allowing for a blend of office and remote work.

Responsibilities: Assess and underwrite contingency/event insurance policies, utilising your expertise and knowledge in the field Demonstrate proficiency in analysing risks associated with Event Cancellation and Non-Appearance insurance products Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, brokers, and clients to negotiate terms and conditions Qualifications: 3-5+ years of proven experience in underwriting within the Contingency/Event Insurance sector, preferably within the London Market.

This can be as an Underwriter, Assistant Underwriter or Broking background Comprehensive understanding of core products such as Event Cancellation and Non-Appearance insurance Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and manage risks effectively Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and negotiate terms Attributes: Detail-oriented with a keen eye for assessing risks and opportunities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make informed underwriting decisions A team player with excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively Benefits: Competitive salary package commensurate with experience Opportunity to work in the heart of London's renowned Lloyd's Building Flexible work arrangement with a combination of office and remote work
