The Role
We're looking for a proactive Continuous Improvement & Training Manager to drive operational excellence and develop our people. You'll lead Lean improvement initiatives, build training and competency programmes, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with leaders and teams to improve productivity, quality, safety, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and 5S improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost and delivery through data analysis and process optimisation. Facilitate root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions. Lead value stream mapping and standardisation projects. Develop and monitor KPIs to measure improvement performance. Support cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets.
Training & Development
Develop and deliver the company training and competency strategy. Identify skills gaps and coordinate technical, operational, leadership and compliance training. Maintain training matrices and competency records. Evaluate training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Coach managers in employee development and support succession planning.
Leadership
Champion a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Lead improvement workshops and training sessions. Support business change initiatives and mentor teams in problem-solving techniques. Partner with department leaders to align improvement priorities with business objectives. Compliance & Reporting Ensure training meets regulatory, quality and health & safety requirements. Report on improvement projects, cost savings, training performance and KPIs. Maintain accurate training and improvement documentation.
About You
Essential
5+ years' experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Manufacturing. Proven success delivering Lean and process improvement projects. Experience designing and delivering employee training programmes. Strong analytical, communication and coaching skills. Experience managing KPIs and driving measurable business improvements.
Desirable
Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business or a related discipline. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt. Experience within manufacturing, engineering or logistics.

Salary of £40,000£50,000 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Private Medical Insurance (Vitality) Company pension
3% employer contribution 5% after 5 years' service 7.5% after 10 years' service (Employee contribution: minimum 5%)
