The Role

The Contract Administrator provides operational, compliance and administrative support across the Electrical Testing Contract, supporting the delivery of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), Rising Lateral Mains (RLM) testing and associated remedial works. This is a full time, permanent role, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00, with Hybrid working (2 days at home) after completion of probationary period. 

The role supports the delivery of statutory electrical compliance programmes, ensuring inspection schedules are delivered efficiently, certification is issued within contractual timescales and KPI performance is maintained.

Reporting to the Contract Manager the post-holder supports engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure compliance programmes are delivered effectively, certification is issued accurately and contract performance standards are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day administration of domestic and communal EICR and RLM testing programmes.


• Coordinate engineer, supervisor and subcontractor appointments in line with programme requirements and service priorities.


• Monitor compliance programmes, inspection schedules and completion targets to ensure statutory obligations are met.


• Upload certification, reports and supporting compliance documentation to client systems and portals within contractual timescales.


• Ensure full compliance with all applicable statutory obligations, including Electrical Safety Standards Regulations, Building Safety requirements, Awaab’s Law obligations and client-mandated compliance procedures


• Monitor no-access cases and support access escalation processes.


• Coordinate resident communications, appointment arrangements and access management.


• Support administration of remedial works, quotations, variations and follow-on actions arising from electrical testing activity.


• Monitor KPI performance, certification turnaround times, work-in-progress and outstanding actions, escalating issues where required.


• Assist with monthly reporting, KPI tracking and contract performance reporting.


• Maintain contract records, compliance documentation and audit trails.


• Support complaint handling and customer enquiries in line with contract procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Previous Contract Administration experience.


• Strong organisational and communication skills. 


• Microsoft 365 proficiency with intermediate Excel skills. 


• Experience supporting electrical testing, EICR or compliance maintenance contracts.


• Experience working within social housing or housing association environments.
