An established and growing specialist construction contractor is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion while taking ownership of Health & Safety documentation, including the preparation and management of RAMS.
Operating across the commercial and industrial sectors, the business delivers high-quality building projects throughout the UK and has built a strong reputation for quality, service and technical expertise.
The Role
Reporting directly to the senior management team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage multiple construction projects across the UK • Oversee project delivery from contract award through to completion • Produce, review and maintain Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations and company procedures • Conduct regular site visits, audits and inspections • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers • Monitor project programmes and resource allocation • Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle • Manage project costs, variations and commercial performance • Attend progress meetings and provide regular project updates • Identify and mitigate project risks • Support continuous improvement across project delivery and safety performance
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Contract Manager within the construction industry • Experience managing industrial, agricultural or commercial construction projects • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations • Demonstrable experience preparing and reviewing RAMS • Excellent organisational and project management skills • Ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously • Strong communication and client-facing skills • Commercial awareness and contract administration experience • Full UK Driving Licence
