We are seeking an experienced Contract Design Engineer to support the Engineering Department with a key project. This is a hands-on contract role for someone who can contribute immediately and work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities as Mechanical Design Engineer will be:

Reverse engineering existing systems and components
Creating CAD designs for all system parts
Producing CAD layouts for assemblies and associated Work Instructions
Creating accurate technical manufacturing drawings to company standards
Rapid development of 3D models, assemblies, BOMs, and production-ready documentation
Supporting engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams with high-quality technical dataAbout You:

Strong SolidWorks experience (parts, assemblies, and detailed drawings)
Proven ability to recreate legacy designs from drawings or physical parts
Experience producing manufacturing drawings and structured BOMs
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, short-term contract role
High attention to detail with a practical, production-focused mindsetThis is an immediate-start contract opportunity offering the chance to make a real impact by delivering accurate, manufacturable designs at pace.
