About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Contract Manager to join our clients dynamic team. This pivotal role assumes responsibility for contract performance from the order receipt or Letter of Intent stage, through to final delivery. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, highly organised, and possess excellent systems knowledge, including Advanced Microsoft Excel, CRM platforms, and the ability to confidently work across multiple systems simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of contract performance from initial receipt or Letter of Intent.
Review contract terms and Letters of Credit to ensure commercial and financial acceptability.
Initiate internal production and external procurement by issuing accurate works orders.
Lead formal contract reviews involving relevant departments to ensure alignment and planning.
Manage contract budgets and prepare financial performance reports.
Use accurate forecasting to manage customer demand and support capacity planning with Production Control.
Deliver excellent customer service while ensuring contract requirements are met efficiently.
Provide commercial administration support to purchasing and proposals departments, particularly during high workload or absence.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in contract administration, including sales, purchasing, shipping, and negotiation – or a relevant graduate qualification with equivalent practical experience.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to assess financial and operational risk.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proven ability to work effectively with CRM systems and other operational platforms.
Highly data-driven with excellent analytical and reporting capabilities.
Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication abilities.
Ability to liaise across departments and drive collaborative results.
Preferred:
Additional language skills are advantageous but not essential.
Key Challenges:
Maintain high customer service levels despite fluctuating workloads and external disruptions.
Ensure customer commitments align with the company’s commercial and financial guidelines.
Influence and collaborate with internal departments to support contract execution and customer satisfaction.
