Contracts Coordinator £25,468.38 per annum | Full Time | 37.5 hours | North
I’m currently recruiting for a Contracts Coordinator to join an established organisation within its Commercial and Managed Contracts team.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing relationships with suppliers, operational teams and internal stakeholders. You’ll play an important role in supporting the effective management of contracts, budgets and commercial issues, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and represents best value.
As Commercial Contract Controller, you’ll act as a key point of contact across a portfolio of managed contracts, working closely with suppliers, operational teams and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure contractual requirements are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the management and control of contracts, budgets, funding routes and agreed service levels. Acting as a key point of contact for suppliers, customers, operational teams and internal departments. Taking ownership of contractual queries, escalations and issues through to resolution. Working closely with operational teams and suppliers to resolve problems quickly and effectively. Challenging additional or unexpected supplier charges where appropriate. Supporting the management of escalated issues and ensuring matters are progressed within agreed timescales. Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure contractual obligations and service requirements are understood and delivered. Preparing annual supplier budgets, including gathering and reviewing financial information. Presenting draft budgets and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Working with suppliers to challenge and validate proposed costs where required. Preparing final budget submissions for review by the Finance team. Identifying opportunities to improve processes, control costs and deliver greater value. Building effective working relationships across all levels of the business and supplier network. We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, confident dealing with different stakeholders and comfortable taking ownership of issues from start to finish.
Experience working within a commercial, contracts, facilities, procurement or operational environment. Strong numerical and written skills. Confidence presenting information and proposals to stakeholders at all levels. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to challenge suppliers and stakeholders professionally when required. Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to resolving issues. Excellent organisation and time management skills. The ability to work independently, use your own initiative and remain persistent when dealing with challenging situations. A strong team-focused approach, with a commitment to getting things right first time.
