The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong construction background to manage the delivery of multiple passive fire protection projects from handover through to completion.
You will oversee projects including service penetration fire-stopping, cavity barriers, intumescent coatings and associated passive fire protection systems, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality and compliance standards.
The role combines project management, client liaison, commercial management, health and safety, quality assurance, logistics and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple passive fire protection projects from handover to completion. Construction experience is essential. Manage project programmes, ensuring projects remain on schedule. Prepare, review and manage RAMS and ensure compliance with site requirements. Conduct and record SHEQ inspections and address non-compliances. Ensure site teams follow relevant health and safety procedures and requirements. Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders. Attend client and project meetings as required. Manage labour, plant, materials and site logistics effectively. Place supplier orders and maintain control of project costs and waste. Manage variations, applications for payment and project cost reporting. Provide project information and costings for CVRs and management reporting. Produce monthly project reports and updates. Monitor project budgets and identify potential cost overruns, implementing corrective actions where required. Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice. Support business development, marketing and client relationship activities. Promote a positive culture of health, safety, quality and continuous improvement.Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in the construction industry. Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar. Experience managing multiple construction projects through to completion. Strong knowledge of construction project management. Experience managing programmes, labour, plant and materials. Strong understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements. Experience managing RAMS and site compliance. Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets. Experience dealing with clients and project stakeholders. Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.Why Join?
