Our client is a leading global manufacturer of building envelope systems, seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their expanding operations in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to take ownership of contract delivery across a diverse portfolio of construction and civil engineering projects.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of contracts across water infrastructure, structural refurbishment, and framework projects. You will lead project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of schemes on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of construction and civil engineering contracts across Scotland
  • Oversee water infrastructure projects including pipelines, treatment works, and network rehabilitation
  • Lead structural refurbishment and repair schemes for both public and private sector clients
  • Manage framework agreements and ensure compliance with framework terms and KPIs
  • Take full commercial ownership of contracts including CVRs, valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and supply chain partners
  • Lead, mentor, and develop site -based project teams
  • Ensure all works are delivered in compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety legislation, and environmental requirements
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for contract growth and repeat business

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within construction or civil engineering
  • Strong background in water infrastructure, structural refurbishment, or similar sectors
  • Experience managing framework contracts and multi -project portfolios
  • Excellent commercial acumen with experience of NEC and/or JCT contract forms
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant professional qualifications
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager in construction/civil engineering
  • Demonstrable experience in water infrastructure, structural refurbishment, or related civil engineering sectors
  • Strong commercial management skills with experience of NEC3/NEC4 and JCT contract forms
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Experience managing framework agreements and maintaining strong client relationships
  • SMSTS certification
  • CSCS card (Manager level)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent (desirable)
  • Chartered status with ICE, CIOB, or equivalent professional body (desirable)
