About Our ClientWe are currently recruiting on behalf of an established, fast-growing specialist drylining subcontractor delivering high-quality commercial and industrial interiors across London. Known for their agility and excellent pipeline of work, they specialize in transforming industrial units with precise partitioning, linings, and ceiling systems. Due to recent contract wins, they are looking for a practical, driven Contracts Manager to join their team immediately.

The RoleThis is a hands-on, subcontractor-focused role. Our client is specifically looking for an authentic individual who has a strong foundation working on-site, combined with the capability to handle office-based logistics and client management.

You will manage a portfolio of exactly 4 active projects at any one time. Your standard week will involve a highly structured routine: spending 1 full day per week on each of the 4 live sites across London, with the 5th day split between the office and working from home for administration, programming, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:• Manage 4 active drylining contracts simultaneously from inception to final handover, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and program delivery.• Spend 1 dedicated day per week on each live project site to audit progress, manage labor, and interface with clients.• Utilize 1 day per week for office or home-based administration, including material procurement, labor allocation, and commercial tracking.• Balance site-based troubleshooting with office-based administration (including programming, variations, and progress reporting).• Monitor project costs closely against budgets on values ranging from minor works (£20k) to larger fit-outs (£1m).

What We Are Looking For:•

Direct drylining subcontractor background – you must understand the practical constraints, speeds, and techniques of the trade.• A balanced split of site and office experience – you can confidently talk to site operatives and build relationships in boardroom client meetings.• Experience managing industrial unit fit-outs or commercial partitions/ceilings.• Proven track record handling multiple small-to-medium projects simultaneously.• Full UK Driving License (essential).• Valid CSCS Card, SMSTS, and First Aid are highly desirable.What’s on Offer:• Salary of £50,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience) for permanent candidates.• Long-term stable contract with competitive day rates for freelance or a permanent salary for applicants.• Dedicated car allowance, or a company vehicle can be provided if preferred.• 1 day per week working from home or from the London office.• Immediate start available for the right candidate.
