Contracts Manager – Civil Engineering – South of England
Location: Hybrid/remote role, covering sites in London and Home Counties / South of England
Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 (Dependant on experience) + Package
Our client is a leading UK principal contractor with an outstanding reputation across demolition, industrial dismantling, earthworks, remediation, civil engineering, water infrastructure, and complex enabling works projects.
Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple civil engineering projects across the South of England.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The position offers a high degree of autonomy, with hybrid/remote working and travel to sites across London, the Home Counties, and the wider South of England.
Key Responsibilities
Managing multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously Leading and supporting site management teams Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Building and maintaining strong client relationships Overseeing programme management, procurement, and commercial performance Managing subcontractors and supply chain partners Supporting project planning and resource allocation Ensuring compliance with all HSEQ standards and company procedures Reporting project progress and performance to senior management Requirements
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the civil engineering sector Strong background delivering a variety of civils projects Experience managing multiple live projects and site teams Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills Commercial awareness and contract management experience Strong understanding of HSEQ requirements Full UK driving licence Please submit your CV to apply, and a member of our team will be in contact!
