A growing specialist passive fire protection contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager with extensive knowledge of intumescent spraying to oversee projects primarily across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding business delivering passive fire protection services across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, high-rise residential and public sector developments. The successful candidate will take ownership of their contracts, with considerable autonomy over their own diary and the opportunity to manage projects from pre-start through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and in accordance with the required quality and fire safety compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple intumescent spraying contracts, overseeing projects from pre-start through to completion.
* Plan and coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and site resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, productivity and health and safety compliance.
* Liaise with clients, main contractors, site teams and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
* Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and commercial performance.
* Ensure all intumescent coating works are completed in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements and relevant fire protection standards.
* Strong technical understanding of intumescent coating systems, application processes, specifications and quality control requirements.
* Proven experience managing multiple projects, coordinating site teams and delivering works to programme and budget.
* Sound commercial awareness, including cost control, variations and financial reporting.
* Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and main contractors.
* A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your contracts.
* Full UK driving licence and flexible attitude towards travel.

* £55,000–£70,000 salary, dependent on experience.
