Our capabilities range from control panel design and manufacture, PLC, HMI and SCADA systems through to robotics, automated systems, electrical distribution and complete integrated control solutions.

Based at our engineering facility in Stokesley, our multidisciplinary team brings together electrical, controls, software, mechanical, robotics and project engineering expertise, allowing us to deliver complete solutions in-house.

Due to continued growth and an increasing project workload, we are looking for an experienced Control Panel Wireman to join our team.

The Role

As a Control Panel Wireman, you will work as part of our electrical manufacturing team, responsible for the assembly and wiring of electrical control panels and associated equipment for a variety of automation, robotics and engineering projects.

Working from electrical drawings and schematics, you will build and wire bespoke control panels to a high standard, ensuring work is completed accurately and in accordance with project requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Wiring and assembly of electrical control panels

* Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams

* Panel layout and installation of electrical components

* Cable preparation, termination, crimping and labelling

* Wiring PLCs, relays, contactors, terminals, power supplies and other control equipment

* Wiring equipment associated with robotics and automated systems

* Point-to-point wiring and checking

* Working with control and power circuits

* Carrying out panel modifications and fault finding where required

* Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard

* Working closely with our electrical, controls, robotics and project engineering teams

* Following company quality procedures and health and safety requirements

About You

We are looking for someone with previous hands-on experience in control panel wiring, electrical assembly or a similar electrical engineering environment.

Ideally, you will have:

* Previous experience wiring electrical control panels

* The ability to confidently read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

* Experience working with electrical components used within industrial control panels

* Good cable preparation, crimping and termination skills

* Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship

* Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team

* A relevant electrical or engineering qualification would be advantageous

Experience within automation, robotics, controls, manufacturing, marine, defence or other industrial engineering environments would also be beneficial.
