Technical Partners are currently looking to recruit an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join ourclients' growing team in Wirral.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer, Automation Engineer or PLC/SCADA Engineer looking to work on a wide variety of technically challenging automation projects across multiple industries.
The Opportunity
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of control systems for automated processes. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, delivering complete automation solutions from initial customer requirements through to implementation.
You'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of sectors, including food & beverage, chemical, marine and materials handling, giving you exposure to varied projects and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise directly with clients to understand their technical requirements and develop appropriate engineering solutions. Assist with the preparation of technical and costed proposals where required. Design, develop and program PLC, HMI and SCADA systems in line with customer specifications. Develop PLC control software using Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) and/or Siemens platforms. Design and implement HMI and SCADA systems. Work closely with electrical design, process safety and control software engineers to deliver turnkey automation projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical standards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain a strong focus on system performance, reliability, quality and safety. About You
We're looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer with a strong background in industrial automation.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience within control systems engineering or industrial automation. Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems. Experience programming PLCs using Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and/or Siemens platforms. A good understanding of industrial control systems and automated processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive approach and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions. What's on Offer?
