Finance Manager – Global Manufacturing Business

Our client, a leading global manufacturing business with a strong presence in Tyne & Wear, is seeking to appoint a highly capable Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative organisation with an international footprint, taking on a key role within its UK operations.

The Role Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with senior stakeholders across the company, the Finance Manager will oversee the full spectrum of financial management for the UK business. The role will combine accounting expertise with commercial acumen and strong leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Providing detailed analysis and insight to drive business performance.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and group policies.
• Managing cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
• Partnering with operations and commercial teams to support strategic decision-making.
• Leading and developing a high-performing finance team.
• Supporting international group reporting and contributing to wider strategic projects.

The Candidate We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with proven post-qualification experience in a finance role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate both technical expertise and commercial understanding, along with the ability to influence at all levels.

Essential skills & experience:

• Strong financial reporting and control background.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Experience of ERP systems and continuous process improvement.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
