Controls Engineer

Are you an experienced Controls Engineer looking for a technically challenging role in a specialist field?
We’re currently hiring a Controls Engineer based in Portsmouth to design, implement, and maintain intelligent control systems for life-saving ventilation and smoke control projects.

You’ll be working across all stages of control system delivery – from design and programming through to troubleshooting and integration. You'll collaborate with design and project teams to deliver reliable, efficient systems that meet regulatory standards and exceed client expectations.

Up to £50,000 salary DOE, with a full benefits package and tools provided.

What do you need?

• Proven experience in control system design and implementation

• Proficient in PLC programming and control system software

• Strong knowledge of HVAC and smoke control systems

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Full UK driving licence

• Full right to work in the UK

The details:

• Full-time, permanent

• 35 hours per week (Mon–Thurs 08:30–16:30, Fri 08:30–14:00)

• 25 days holiday + bank holidays

• Company pension scheme
