Conversion Operative

The Role

Coveris is currently recruiting for a number of positions within our Conversion Department at our manufacturing site in Gainsborough, conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Morrisons.

Working as part of a team of up to 12 people, your responsibilities will include:

• Converting large master reels into smaller reels in line with customer specifications and requirements.
• Setting up and safely operating slitting machines to produce material to the required customer specification.
• Producing quality assurance (QA) samples for internal and external inspection.
• Following and adhering to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene at all times.
• Ensuring quality products are produced efficiently and within required timescales.
• Carrying out general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Supporting other departmental activities as required.
• Undertaking any other duties that may reasonably be assigned by your Line Manager.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
• A flexible, reliable and positive approach to work.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• A strong awareness of health, safety and quality standards.
