Job Description - Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Lead

We are currently working with a premium fashion brand, well-established on the UK high street, with a long-standing reputation for quality and creativity. They’ve been leading the way since the 1970s, collaborating with top names across the industry and continuing to put style and authenticity at the heart of what they do.

Right now, they’re looking for a Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Lead to join their digital team at their head office in Richmond. This is a key hire, where the successful person will take ownership of optimising digital experiences, driving better conversion rates, and playing a critical role in their customer acquisition strategy.

The Role:

The CRO Lead will develop and implement data-led optimisation strategies to improve website performance, streamline the user journey, and help convert traffic into engaged customers. Working closely with the performance marketing and insights teams, they’ll help bridge creative, trading, and customer experience with actionable, measurable improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver CRO strategies to improve conversion rates and website performance.
  • Run A/B and multivariate testing across pages, journeys, and funnels.
  • Use data tools (e.g. Shopify, GA4, Looker, MS Clarity) alongside heatmaps and user testing to identify opportunities to reduce friction points.
  • Collaborate on the design of campaign landing pages to support both organic and paid acquisition efforts.
  • Report on key web metrics including bounce rates, click-through rates, and load times.
  • Align CRO efforts with the wider marketing goals, especially focusing on customer acquisition.
  • Work alongside the wider marketing, e-commerce, product, creative, and customer services teams to align insights and priorities.
  • Share learnings, provide training on analytics tools when needed, and keep the team informed of industry trends.

What They’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in CRO or a related optimisation role.
  • Track record of improving lead generation across digital channels.
  • Proficient in data analysis and translating insights into actions.
  • Confident with A/B testing platforms and digital analytics.
  • Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or lead generation environments would be ideal.
  • Some understanding of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a bonus.
  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Naturally analytical, curious, and solutions-focused.
