Are you an experienced residential property professional looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a proactive and organised Conveyancing Assistant to support our fee earners in delivering a first-class legal service.
Key Responsibilities:Assist fee earners with the management of purchase, sale, remortgage, and transfer of equity files (both freehold and leasehold) through effective file management.
Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure updates are timely, queries are dealt with efficiently, and appropriate legal matters are flagged to the fee earner.
Handle incoming calls, take instructions, conduct telephone and written enquiries, and carry out follow-up actions as required.
Provide full administrative support including collating, sending, and checking documentation with all parties involved in transactions.
Ensure compliance with the firm’s policies, procedures, and legal obligations in all file handling.
Process incoming and outgoing post for the department, ensuring all documentation from third parties is logged and actioned
Experience within the residential property sector (e.g., conveyancing, estate agency, IFA, or mortgage brokerage)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a high standard of English.
Experience working in a legal or property-related environment.
Confident working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organisational skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with email, portals, and legal case management systems.
A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative and escalate concerns where necessary.
A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and delivering excellent client service.
