TSR Legal is proud to be partnering with a well-regarded multi-service law firm in Swindon, currently seeking an experienced Conveyancing Head of Department. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior legal professional to lead a thriving Residential Conveyancing team, drive departmental strategy, and play a key role in the firm’s ongoing growth and success.

• Lead and manage the Residential Conveyancing department, setting objectives and driving performance

• Oversee a team of conveyancers and support staff, providing mentorship, supervision, and technical guidance

• Develop and implement strategies for growth, efficiency, and exceptional client service

• Manage complex residential property transactions, including lease extensions and new builds

• Review departmental workflows, identify improvements, and implement process enhancements

• Build strong relationships with clients, estate agents, and stakeholders

• Monitor team performance, financial targets, and contribute to business planning

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal standards, including GDPR and SRA rules

• Proven experience leading a residential conveyancing team in a law firm setting

• In-depth knowledge of residential property matters, including leasehold, new build, and complex transactions

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Commercially astute with a track record of achieving targets and driving growth

• Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver operational improvements

• Confident working with senior management and contributing to firm-wide initiatives
