Job Description - Conveyancing Legal Secretary

£23,000-£28,000 DOE

Pertemps are working with a long-standing legal practice in North Ayrshire that provides a full range of legal services across the region. The firm is known for its approachable, client-focused team and strong reputation in residential conveyancing. This is a great opportunity for an experienced legal secretary looking to join a professional yet down-to-earth team in a well-established local office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to conveyancing solicitors
  • Prepare and manage legal documentation: missives, title deeds, dispositions
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, surveyors, and external bodies via phone, email, and in person
  • Order property searches, monitor deadlines, and ensure smooth transaction progression
  • Manage diaries and appointments, including client meetings
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case files in line with firm standards

About You:
  • Prior experience supporting residential conveyancing cases
  • Excellent attention to detail in drafting and document preparation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  • Strong communication skills, with a professional yet personable manner
  • Self-motivated, well organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks
