CONVEYOR BELT OPERATIVE (VULCANISER)

Full-Time | Contract | West Yorkshire

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Conveyor Belt Operative (Vulcaniser) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing and repair of conveyor belts at customer sites throughout the North of England.

This is a hands-on role suited to an individual who takes pride in their work, has a strong commitment to health and safety, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintaining, servicing, repairing and fitting conveyor belts at customer sites.

* Carrying out vulcanising and associated conveyor belt work to a high standard.

* Travelling to customer sites throughout the North of England.

* Responding to breakdowns as part of our 24-hour emergency breakdown service.

* Completing site reports and other required paperwork accurately.

* Communicating professionally and clearly with customers and colleagues.

* Maintaining a professional appearance and representing the company positively at all times.

* Complying with all relevant health and safety legislation, company policies and site procedures.

* Undertaking training and professional development as required.

Requirements

* Previous experience in conveyor belt maintenance, fitting or vulcanising is preferred.

* A full UK driving licence is essential.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong communication and customer service skills.

* Good attention to detail and a professional approach to work.

* Reliable, punctual and consistent attendance.

* Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when required.

* Ability to work safely in a variety of customer and industrial environments.

Working Hours

As we operate a 24-hour breakdown service, the successful candidate must have a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to undertake occasional night and weekend work.

Overtime and non-standard working hours will be paid accordingly.
