We are seeking a dedicated Care Home Cook to join our team in Glasgow. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for cooking and providing nutritious meals to the residents. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and must hold a food hygiene certification.

• Prepare and cook meals that cater to the specific dietary requirements of residents.
• Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Plan weekly meal menus in consultation with the care home staff to ensure a balanced diet.
• Manage kitchen inventory and order food supplies while staying within the budget.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Implement and adhere to health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
• Engage with residents to gather feedback on meals and incorporate suggestions where possible.

• Proven experience as a cook in a care home setting or similar environment.
• Must possess a valid food hygiene certificate.
• Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary needs, especially for elderly individuals.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
