About us:

Vertas are looking for a fast paced, energetic Cook to assist with our outside catering business in Leiston, Suffolk.

Individuals will work at various locations in various food trailers and lone working will be required.

Working at a fast pace, individuals will need to multitask while taking orders, cooking, and taking payments. All training will be given but a level of cooking understanding is a must.

A high level of HACCP awareness is a must and one of our non-negotiables when it comes to our high standards.

The Role:

We have an amazing opportunity for a Cook to join us in Leiston. Working as part of an enthusiastic team who run our Cafes. The main duties to include:

• Cooking and serving meals in a takeaway environment
• Health & Safety compliance
• Allergen updates and compliance
• To complete all ordering
• To control and record any food wastage.
• To ensure that all areas in the kitchen & café are kept clean and tidy at the end of each service.
• To ensure that the preparation, presentation, and service are carried out to comply with company standards.
• To communicate well and demonstrate a positive and professional personality.
• To ensure always that company and statutory regulations of hygiene and safety are adhered to by all members of staff under your control.
• To ensure that all financial returns are completed to the company standards and within time parameters.
• To complete monthly stock checks
• To report any customer/client complaints/compliments and act if possible.
• To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary from time to time.
• Ensure staff training is up to date.
• To log all maintenance issues with your Operations Manager.
• To carry out any reasonable request from your Operations Manager.
