Job Description - Corporate Accountant

Corporate Accountant
Staffordshire | Hybrid Working (1 day on site) | Permanent | Full-Time | Salary: Up to £60,000 + Market-Leading Pension + 30 Days Hols

Are you an experienced and qualified accountant with a passion for turning large data sets into strategic financial insights? We’re working in partnership with a leading People Services organisation to recruit a Corporate Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

This is a pivotal role within a respected and forward-thinking organisation, offering you the opportunity to directly influence financial planning and strategy in relation to fixed income.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounting, you'll take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on all fixed income streams.

This position plays a vital role in preparing institutional forecasts, aligning with planning teams, and presenting insights at executive-level meetings. From analysing retention rates and modelling scenarios, to supporting audits and year-end reports, this is a varied and high-impact role where attention to detail and a proactive mindset are key.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and monitoring of fixed-income budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal planning teams to ensure alignment with intake targets.
  • Support the creation of the 5-year plan, especially around fixed income streams.
  • Conduct scenario modelling to identify key financial trends and present solutions.
  • Coordinate and deliver the institution’s annual audit.
  • Maintain and enhance income databases and reporting tools.
  • Interpret government funding changes and assess financial impacts on the institution.
  • Provide expert advice within business plans and new course proposals.
About You:
  • You’ll be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with extensive management accounting experience.
  • You should bring a strong command of Excel and financial systems, an analytical approach to data, and be confident presenting complex financial information to a range of stakeholders.

Experience in a complex organisation is advantageous, though not essential - what matters most is your ability to interpret complex funding environments and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Why Apply?
  • Make a tangible difference in a values-led organisation.
  • Join a collaborative finance team committed to continuous improvement.
  • Hybrid working pattern with flexibility to balance office and remote work.
  • Generous annual leave, pension contributions, and professional development opportunities.
We look forward to receiving your application!
