An outstanding opportunity has arisen to form part of our Sales Team as a Corporate and Membership Sales Lead at Guildford Spectrum Leisure Complex working for Freedom Leisure, one of the fastest growing and successful leisure and cultural trusts in the UK.

The Corporate and Membership Sales Lead will be an integral part of our dynamic sales team. This role is ultimately about growing the Health & Fitness membership numbers and developing/establishing existing and new corporate membership partnerships, as well as increasing income. However, aside from selling memberships to new prospects this role is also about being the start of the membership retention process for that individual too.

You will also be assisting with the advertising and the sale of advertising space within Guildford Spectrum, both printed and digital as well as be part of a shift rota and will be required to work Reception shifts throughout the week including weekends and evenings.

Hours: 37 hours a week, Monday to Sunday (Rota basis)

  • Experience of managing a varied workload.
  • Working in Senior Sales role
  • Staff management experience
  • The skill to establish key relationships swiftly and appropriately.
  • IT skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Well developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally
  • Team orientated approach, able to work across organization boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of colleagues
  • Outgoing personality with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • A target driven person

  • Working in a leisure environment
  • An ability to feed into and translate into action the marketing strategy and objectives
  • An ability to analyse problems, situations and information, think laterally and present creative solutions
  • Mobility to travel across sites
